With the release of the iPhone 4S and the fact that it’s identical to the iPhone 4, there was bound to be the good parody, but this one is great!
Twitter Follow button for websites launched
1 JunTwitter has announced it has made it that little bit easier for websites to promote themselves on Twitter, with the launch of the Twitter Follow button.
The Twitter Follow button is one of the best ways for websites to “stay connected” with the audience.
In terms of how it works, it is very similar to the Facebook Like button.
Keep your eyes peeled as you’ll see it popping up on more and more sites.

Google unveil music service
16 MayGoogle has unveiled its long-planned music service, but it will probably need deals with the recording industry to reach its full potential.
Imaginatively named, Music Beta by Google, the service allows users to store their tunes remotely and access them from any compatible device, including mobile phones, tablets and computers.
There is no option to download music and it also doesn’t allow users to listen to music that they haven’t physically uploaded.
The service will be available by invitation only, free of charge whilst it is being tested. They haven’t confirmed whether there will be a charge to use this service.
Google to close Google Videos
20 AprOver the weekend, Google announced that it will be closing their Google Video Service. If you have any videos of value currently stored on their, it’s advised to take a backup pretty soon.
Fortunately, Google have made this extremely easy by adding in a “download button” that will remain on the video status page until the service is shut down completely.
You will be able to view videos on the video service until April 29th and then on the 13th May, the “download button” will be removed.

Head tracking software for iPad 2
18 AprProbably the nicest piece of software that I’ve seen on the iPad since its’ release. The 3D illusion is very good, but if it means holding something in front of your face constantly, I can’t wait to see the people in Starbucks.
Google: 3 billion Android apps now installed
15 AprA little while ago I blogged saying that Android and Windows Phone will be the market leaders for mobile phone Operating Systems. News has broken today that Google have hit 3 billion Android application installations. 3 Billion! This is an incredible feat, especially as it took them only 20 months to hit the 1 billion mark, and then a further 5 months to go from 1 to 2 billion.
In comparison to Apple, they still have a way to go (some 7 billion+), but Android is now boasting a bigger market share than Apple in many markets, and they are catching fast.

Ever regret sending an email?
14 AprGmail have enhanced their services to stop you from accidentally sending an email to the wrong person. There are two new features that have emerged in Gmail.
The first is known as “Don’t forget Bob”, which offers suggestions of other people who you might be meaning to send the email to. The second is “Got the wrong Bob?”. So, if your boss is called Stephen and your girlfriend/wife is called Stephanie, it could save a whole heap of shame, no matter which way round you got it wrong.

HTML 5 games…
13 AprWhilst catching up on a couple of blog posts last night, I stumbled across a hyperlink that grabbed my attention. So, I finished reading the post before clicking the link (although the mouse was hovering over the link ready) and then pressed the mouse button. When the webpage had finally loaded I was impressed. Not because of the aesthetics of the page, but the content. For a hobbyist game developer, this was fantastic. ImpactJS is a JavaScript Game Engine that allows development of HTML 5 games in a very short time period. This will mean that it will be compatible with iPhones, iPad and any other mobile device that supports HTML 5 in their browsers. Could we see the start of new indie developers creating the next big iPhone game like Angry Birds?
Windows Phone 7 updates
7 AprBeing the proud owner of a HTC HD7 running Windows Phone 7 OS, I was impressed to see the line up of the new updates arriving later this year. After just updating to get the copy and paste feature, plus the vast improvement in application loading times I can’t wait to get my hands on the new updates.
